Most Rev. Broderick S. Pabillo, Apostolic Administrator of Manila will lead the celebration of the Holy Eucharist to mark the 5th Walk for Life at the Santisimo Rosario Parish (University of Santo Tomas) in Espana, Manila on Feb. 20, 2021, from 2:30 – 5:00 p.m.
With the theme, “Celebrate as One in 2021”, the annual celebration will be held online because of the restrictions of the community quarantine.
This year, the event will feature the “Dance for Life”, a dance production that will portray various expressions of value and reverence for life in collaboration with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and Dance Exchange on Air.
It will be viewed through the Facebook page of the Sangguniang Layko ng Pilipinas, CBCP, Santisimo Rosario UST, NCCA Official and Dance Exchange Philippines.
In solidarity to uphold the dignity of human life, Bishop Pabillo, who is also the Chairman of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines Episcopal Commission on Laity (CBCP-ECL) told the faithful that the Church will remain firm in its stance against the death bills that are being pursued in the congress like, divorce, euthanasia, abortion, total reproductive health, homosexuality (same-sex marriage) and death penalty.
“Tuloy pa rin ang paninindigan ng simbahan para sa kahalagahan ng buhay ng tao; tutulan pa rin natin ang mga panukalang batas na makasisira sa buhay,” Bishop Pabillo told Radio Veritas.
The annual Walk for Life is organized by the Council of Laity in coordination with CBCP-ECL which aims to encourage people to demonstrate their solidarity un uplifting sanctity of human life. (Jheng Prado/RCAM-AOC)
