The University of Santo Tomas Campus was lit in blue and yellow, the colors of the Ukraine’s flag in time for its 31st Independence on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
The anthem of Ukraine was played after the 6 p.m. Angelus followed by the lighting of the Main Building and the Arch of the Centuries. The lights will be visible from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. starting from the 24th until the 26th of August 2022.
In addition to the lights, the flaglets of Ukraine will be placed on the lampposts inside the campus, and a photo wall with the word “мир” which means “Peace” in the Ukrainian language will be placed in front of the Arch of the Centuries to symbolize the hopes and prayers of the University for Peace in Ukraine and in the world.
