Remains of EJK victims moved to memorial site in Caloocan; Support intensifies

Arnold Janssen Kalinga Foundation aims to further intensify the support for the families of the victims of the extra-judicial killings of the past Duterte administration.

The foundation provides help and support to the wives, parents, and children of the victims of EJK through the Paghilom Program, which currently has 300 beneficiaries.

In order to further spread the mission of the program, the foundation established the Dambana ng Paghilom, the very first EJK Memorial site which is located at the La Loma Cemetery in Caloocan City.

Fr. Flavie Villanueva SVD, the foundation’s Founder and President, said that the main objective of the memorial site is to give a suitable resting place for the victims.

Alongside the celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 15 urns of the EJK victims were placed in the Dambana ng Paghilom on June 27, 2024.

Rev. Fr. Eduardo Vasquez, OMI, led the simple liturgical ceremony and the blessing of the remains before they were brought to their resting place.

According to the Arnold Janssen Kalinga Foundation, the family members under the Program Paghilom were present during the said event.
