Lakad Panalangin: Vicariate of Santo Niño Youth walk for peaceful upcoming elections

The Vicariate of Santo Niño Youth Ministry kicked off its penitential walk for the upcoming May 2022 elections and pilgrimage to its Jubilee churches on April 2, 2022.

The activity started with an opening liturgy at San Pablo Apostol Parish – Tondo as its first stop attended by six hundred youth of the Vicariate who walked their way to the Archdiocesan Shrine of Santo Nino de Tondo.

The youth lent their ear to a talk about the election given by Fr. Gaudencio Carandang, Jr., parish priest and rector of San Juan Bosco Parish Tondo inside the Tondo church. With the title “Paano Maging Tama at Mabuting Botante”, the Bosconian priest emphasized the importance of fighting for what is right and grounding their choice on Catholic values in voting for the next leaders of the nation.

The youth walked their way to the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of San Lorenzo Ruiz for its last stop while praying the rosary. The Sacrament of Confession and the celebration of the Eucharistic Liturgy were held at the Binondo Church to conclude the Vicariate activity. Rev. Fr. Andy O. Lim, parish priest of Binondo church, celebrated the Mass and Rev. Fr. Jason Alde, spiritual director of the Vicariate Youth Ministry, gave his concluding message.
