New Apostolic Nuncio to arrive in Manila on Sunday


Archbishop Charles John Brown, the new Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, will arrive in the country on Sunday, November 29, 2020, according to the communiqué to the bishops

According to CBCP News, upon his arrival, he will present his credentials to the Philippine government.

Bishops shall welcome the new apostolic nuncio, as the country sets to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Christianity in 2021.

He will be coming from New York, where he had a few weeks break after his duty as nuncio to Albania.

On October 23, 2020, Archbishop Brown met Pope Francis during a private audience in the Vatican.

His Holiness Pope Francis appointed His Excellency Most Rev. Charles John Brown, D.D. as the new Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, succeeding Archbishop Gabrielle Caccia, on September 28, 2020, at noon (Rome time) and 6 pm (Philippine time.) (Fatima Llanza/RCAM-AOC)
