CBCP appoints new Assistant Secretary General


The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines has appointed Fr. Carlo Del Rosario, a priest from the Archdiocese of Manila, as the new Assistant Secretary General.

According to CBCP News, Fr. Del Rosario assumed the post on Dec. 15, 2020. He will serve until July 2021, subject to the disposition of the new archbishop of Manila.

Fr. Del Rosario succeeds Msgr. Bernardino Pantin who was recently appointed as CBCP's Secretary General.

The priest was born in 1982 and was ordained in 2010. He studied Theology at the UST Central Seminary, where he also earned his licentiate in canon law.

He is presently the parochial vicar of San Fernando de Dilao and chaplain of Paco Catholic School. He also holds assignment at the Metropolitan Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Manila and Archdiocesan Liturgical Commission. (Jheng Prado/RCAM-AOC)
