God is never silent; He talks to all of us thru different platforms – Bishop Pabillo

“Mga kapatid, hindi nananahimik ang Diyos.”

As the Catholic Church in the Philippines caps off National Bible Month this week, Bishop Broderick Pabillo told the faithful that God communicates in different ways through different platforms.

In his homily for the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time, the head of the Apostolic Vicariate of Taytay explained that the Word of God is His way of expressing love to everyone and it comes in different means.

He is the Lord of History. He guides the events of history.

He also expounded that the celebration of National Bible Week every last week of January would help people appreciate the Bible as one of the most exceptional ways of His communication to mankind.

The former Auxiliary Bishop and Apostolic Administrator of Manila said that the Holy Scripture is the only way to recognize Jesus which he describes as “the ultimate and definitive revelation of God”.

While Bible condemns mankind’s worldly actions, he said that it remains to be the source of strength that brings us to God’s joy, especially during our life’s uncertainties.

The Bible helps us to pray.

In observance of the Week of Prayer and Christian Unity, he also urged the faithful to recognize other religious denominations as they also help propagate the “seed of God’s Word… in all cultures and religions.” (Lem Leal Santiago | File Photo/RCAM-AOC)
