First face-to-face Archdiocesan BEC Assembly held after lockdowns  

In conjunction with the celebration of the Feast of St. Andrew the Apostle, the Archdiocesan BEC Assembly was attended by various vicariates under the Archdiocese of Manila and held at Santa Clara de Montefalco Parish in Pasay City, with the theme “BEC: Uganayang Mapaghilom Sa Pinagpanibagong Misyon.”

The celebration was led by Rev. Fr. Enrico Martin F. Adoviso who also serves as the Guest Speaker of the event.

In his opening remarks, Rev. Fr. Nicardo P. Blanquisco, Parish Priest of Santa Clara de Montefalco said, “Today, we turn away from the liturgical year 2020-2021 and we are entering a new calendar that began on Sunday with the celebration of the first Sunday of Advent, we will say goodbye and we look forward to our new journey.”

Rev. Fr. Edgardo Coroza, Vicar Forane of the Vicariate of Santa Clara de Montefalco delivered his inspirational message to the delegates and those who are watching via online streaming which he stated that even if we have a future pandemic, faith finds a way.

Selected members of the BEC also share their reflections about their service and continuous faith in God, despite the issue the world is facing.

After the Recollection, it was immediately followed by a Eucharistic Mass led by His Eminence, Jose F. Cardinal Advincula, D.D., Archbishop of Manila, with the priest under the Archdiocese.  In his homily, he emphasized the three elements of synods that we are reminded of: Communion, Participation, and Mission.

At the end of the event, Sis. Mylene Enriquez, Lay Coordinator of the Archdiocesan BEC Commission thanked everyone who participated, both physically and in live streaming giving the event a huge success.

Knowing and assisting everyone believes in Jesus, who belongs in the family, and who wants to become a disciple in order to have an impact on the community.
