Divine Mercy Philippines invites faithful to Luzon Apostolic Congress of Mercy

Divine Mercy Philippines has invited the faithful to join the upcoming Luzon Apostolic Congress of Mercy (LUACOM) 2023, which will be hosted by the Diocese of Malolos to be held at the Malolos Convention Center this April 20-21, 2023.

According to Veritas News, Bishop Ruperto Santos of the Diocese of Balanga, who is the current Episcopal Coordinator of the Divine Mercy Philippines and Asia emphasized how mercy enables us to offer ourselves by generously partaking the blessing in various forms of charity.

“We, Filipinos have this very beautiful and realistic proverb. It is “nasa Diyos ang awa, nasa tao ang gawa. We are really maawain at mapangkawanggawa. With this Luzon Apostolic Congress on Mercy, we relive, commit and share God’s divine mercy to others,” he said.

“I invite you to pray with us and join us on those memorable and holy days. Together, we think of mercy, we speak mercy and we do mercy,” he added.

Manila Archbishop Jose F. Cardinal Advincula, Archbishop Charles John Brown, Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines and Bishop Dennis Villarojo of the Diocese of Malolos will also be present at the LUACOM 2023.

Pope Francis appointed 11 Filipino priests up to this date as “missionaries of mercy” and they are given “a special mandate to lead missions or facilitate specific initiatives with particular attention to the sacrament of reconciliation.” (Hazel Boquiren/RCAM-AOC | Photo from Radio Veritas))
