Cardinal urges faithful to make prayer a center of everyday lives this new year

In his New Year’s message to the Archdiocese of Manila, His Eminence, Jose F. Cardinal Advincula encouraged the faithful community to “go back to the centrality of prayer” in their everyday lives.

He invited them to embark on “pilgrimages of prayer” as Pope Francis declared 2024 as “year of prayer” in preparation for the Jubilee Year in 2025.

The Archbishop of Manila also took the opportunity to stress the synodal process, specifically the Traslacion Roadmap plan to continue the journey in communion, mission and participation.

“Let this new year be an occasion for us to review our initiatives in gradually forming  ourselves into synodal Church and plan on how we can further implement and realize our Traslacion Roadmap, our six-year strategic plan in the Archdiocese,” Cardinal Advincula said.

He urged every Catholics to become “pilgrims of hope together” and assured that God walks with His people despite life’s challenges. (Lem Leal Santiago/RCAM-AOC | Photo by Maricar Santos/RCAM-AOC | Photogallery)
