Cardinal Rosales celebrates 90th Birthday

A thanksgiving Mass in celebration of the 90th birthday of Archbishop Emeritus of Manila, His Eminence Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales was held at the St. Francis de Sales Regional Seminary in Lipa, Batangas on August 10, 2022, at 4 p.m.

The Mass was presided by Cardinal Rosales himself and was attended by his family, relatives, friends, priests and bishops from Manila and other dioceses.

In his homily, the former archbishop of Manila thanked the Lord for the 90 years of existence.

“90 years old. How do you thank God for 90 years,” said Cardinal Rosales.

The Cardinal also thanked the Lord for the gift of good health and all the blessings bestowed upon him. Among those he received and was able to share with the people was the Pondo ng Pinoy which he launched in June 2004. PnP aims not just to help the poor people but to catechize them that giving should not be out of compassion but out of love.

The Cardinal then encouraged the faithful to continue to give to PnP to give support and assistance to the less fortunate people.
