The ‘Buhay Kooperatiba’ program of Radio Veritas 846 was recognized by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) in the upcoming CDA Gawad Parangal Awarding Ceremony last October 13, at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City.
According to Veritas News, Jojie Marasigan, who is currently the anchor of Buhay Kooperatiba program, expressed in her message of gratitude for this milestone in which the Church assisted the objectives led by the cooperatives. Also, Radio Veritas supported the program for almost a decade.
“Salamat sa Cooperative Development Authority sa pagbibigay Ng Gawad Parangal bilang pagkilala sa programang Buhay Kooperatiba bilang partner sa pagpapalaganap Ng kilusang kooperatiba, salamat din sa Radio Veritas sa walang sawang pagsuporta sa Buhay Kooperatiba program sa loob Ng mahigit sampung taon, sa tulong ng Diyos, nawa ay maipagpatuloy natin Ang pagpapalaganap Ng kaalaman at mahahalagang impormasyon tungkol sa kilusang kooperatiba tungo sa maunlad na Buhay para sa ating sambayanan,” she said.
Every month of October, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) celebrates National Cooperative Month wherein the regional and national branches of the agency hold activities related to the various cooperatives such as livelihood programs, job fares, seminars for cooperative members including ordinary citizens who support the cooperative in society.
Citizens and also members of Church-based cooperatives were also encouraged by CDA Chairman Joseph Encabo to support Church-based cooperatives.
Moreover, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Gawad Parangal recognizes those who advocate the cooperatives such as individuals, institutions, programs, local governments, media partners and companies. Also, the COOP Month’s Opening Ceremony celebrated the theme this year with over 19 million members in the Philippines called “Cooperatives: Pioneering the Path to Recovery Amidst Modern Challenges of Climate Change and Food Security.” (Hazel Boquiren/RCAM-AOC)
