Bike for Kalikasan slated on October 7

“Caritas Bike for Kalikasan” will be hosted by the Archdiocese of Lipa on October 7, 2023.

Organized by the Caritas Philippines and Lipa Archdiocesan Ministry on Environment (AMEn), the initiative which is on its second year run, focuses on the Season of Creation’s engagement between partners, stakeholders, communities which seeks “ecological transformation”

The route would be from the Montemaria Pilgrimage Center to the Lagadlarin Mangrove Forest Park and it is expected to gather bikers in the country.

“Caritas Bike for Kalikasan” started last October 2022. In order to help ease the effects of climate change, the initiative began to “plant at least five bamboo trees nationwide over the course of five years.”

Caritas Philippines promotes the eco-convergence wherein the Church and society collaborate for the ecological initiatives with a more “unified, sustainable and strategic pro-environment and people advocacy actions.” or known as “eco-convergence”
