The Catholic Women’s League of the Philippines is hosting a consultation and planning meeting among members of the All-Natural Family Planning Network on August 23, 2012, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Pius XII Catholic Center in U.N. Avenue.

According to CWL President Caridad F. Rabuco, the meeting which has been endorsed by Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio G. Tagle and Gaudencio B.Cardinal Rosales, Archbishop Emeritus of Manila, will discuss the establishment of a network on Natural Family Planning as the Church’s way of exercising Responsible Parenthood. She said the half-day gathering will also be a venue for looking into the options open to the Catholic Church in terms of possible amendments to certain controversial provisions of the RH Bill.

The booklet, “The Standard Days Method of Natural Family Planning: Expert Opinions and Pastoral Perspectives,” published by the CWL and the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro, will also be launched during the meeting which will feature as speaker Dr. Hanna Klaus one of the experts who contributed to the publication.

Mrs. Rabuco invites members of all religious lay organizations and parish councils to the forum. She says  in her invitation letter co-signed by Archbishop Tagle and Cardinal Rosales, “As a positive alternative to the RH bill, we can propose a nation-wide program for All-NFP as a valid, viable and vital way of addressing the felt needs of many couples today for family planning and for their preference for NFP methods.
