RE: ARCHDIOCESAN RECOGNITION DAY FOR LAY LITURGICAL MINISTERS

Dear Reverend Monsignor / Father / Lay Brothers and Sisters:

As an expression of our gratitude and appreciation for the service of our lay collaborators in the liturgical ministry, we are organizing the first Archdiocesan Recognition Day for Lay Liturgical Ministers to be held on May 26, 2012, eve of Pentecost at the San Fernando de Dilao Parish, 1521 Paz St., Paco, Manila.  The Archbishop of Manila will preside at the 9 am Eucharistic celebration and the awarding ceremonies.

May we request the Evaluation Committee (composed of the Parish Priest, Worship Coordinator and Ministry Coordinator) to please recommend to our office possible honorees who are retiring from the ministry due to age, health or other personal reasons.  Attached is a copy of the recommendation letter. Kindly submit their names before May 1, 2012.

We will not issue guidelines regarding the age of the honorees so that parishes will have the discretion in coming up with the list of lay ministers due for recognition.

Thank you very much for your steadfast support.

Sincerely yours,

(Signed)
FR. GENARO O. DIWA
Minister
