The Philippine Academy of Liturgical Research (PALR) expressed full support of Vatican II’s fundamental principle of liturgical reform, namely, “the full, active, and conscious participation” of all God’s people in liturgical celebrations especially the Holy Mass, in a Statement it released at the close of its meeting on April 12-13, 2012 at Mount Peace Retreat House in Baguio City.

The Academy, established in 2010, is composed of Filipino holders of academic degrees of master, licentiate and doctorate in liturgy. It has 36 members so far including two Bishops.
