Archdiocese of Manila to sign MOA with Fazenda




Archdiocese of Manila, Caritas Manila and Fazenda da Esperanca will sign a memorandum of agreement that will further support SANLAKBAY, the drug rehabilitation program of the Catholic Church on January 8, 2017 at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros.

The signing will take place after the celebration of the Holy Eucharist to be presided by Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle.


Fazenda da Esperanca also known as the The Farm of Hope is a therapeutic community with over 30 years of experience of helping drug addicts all over the world to find themselves again through the rehabilitation program that is based on three pillars: Community, Work, and Spirituality. 

It was founded in Brazil by Fr. Hans Stapel, Nelson Giovanelli, Luci Rosendo, and Iraci Leite and was established in 2003.

The partnership of Fazenda da Esperanca with the Archdiocese of Manila and Caritas Manila puts emphasis to the advocacy of the founders of Fazenda: as long as there is life, there is Hope.
