RCAM-AOC Facebook page: Catholic netizen’s access to Church info

Netizens will be more informed with up-to-date news about the important activities of the Catholic Church in the Philippines through RCAM-AOC, the official Facebook page of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila.

Administered by the Archdiocese of Manila's Office of Communication, RCAM-AOC Facebook page is where the news stories and important announcements about the Catholic Church as well as Cardinal Tagle’s official statements posted in the RCAM website are shared to reach more Catholic faithful.

As we get closer to the celebration of the 500 years of the arrival of Christianity in the country, the Catholic Church is called to come up with new methods and new expressions of the Gospel. To heed the call for the new evangelization, the Archdiocese of Manila intensifies its social media presence through its official Facebook page RCAM-AOC to extend the reach of the Church to a broader audience.

As Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, D.D. said during the First Catholic Social Media Summit, social media needs to be evangelized.

“The social networking world is a means of bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to a vaster audience. It is truly an instrument of evangelization; but at the same time it is a field that needs to be evangelized.” Such being the case, talking about social media is not merely a high-tech expediency as it is really now a pastoral exigency,” Cardinal Tagle said.
