Cardinal Tagle attends beatification of Japanese martyr in Japan

Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle attended the beatification of Justo Takayama Ukon in Japan on Tuesday, February 7 as a representative of the Archdiocese of Manila.  

Justo Takayama Ukon is a Japanese martyr who became catholic and was exiled and died in Manila because he refused to renounce his Christian faith in 1615.

Cardinal Tagle asks Filipinos to pray for refugees in the world




Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle asked the Filipino people to pray for all the refugees in the world especially in the Middle East.

Cardinal Tagle, who is also the President of Caritas Internationalis visited Lebanon where millions of Syrian are staying. He makes sure that Caritas is helping these refugees by providing them the basic necessities they need.
