SEMINAR ON THE THEOLOGY OF THE HOLY WEEK

Greetings of Peace!

As the Lenten Season is about to commence, preparations for the celebration of the Holy Week will also begin. And in order to aid the liturgical ministers on the beauty and importance of the most solemn week of our Catholic faith, we would like to invite you to a half-day seminar on March 18, 2017 at the San Carlos Seminary Auditorium from 8 am-12 nn. The first part will be a conference on the Theology of the Lenten Season and Holy Week to be given by Rev. Fr. Genaro O. Diwa. The second part will be allotted for practical guidelines in preparing for the liturgy of the Holy Week. Donations will be greatly appreciated.

May this be an avenue for us to appreciate and value the beauty of the liturgy.

Thank you for your continual support.

Yours truly,

REV. FR. MARION NOEL Q. BAYARAS
Minister for Altar Servers

RE: SCHEDULE OF PROGRAM for 2017

Dear Reverend Monsignori, Fathers, Brothers and Sisters:

Greetings in the Lord!

We look forward with gratitude and joy to March 16, 2021, the fifth centenary of the coming of Christianity to our beloved land. We remember with thanksgiving the first Mass celebrated on Limasawa Island on Easter Sunday March 31 that same blessed year. We remember the baptism of Rajah Humabon who was given his Christian name Carlos and his wife Harah Amihan who was baptized Juana in 1521. Our eyes gaze on the Santo Niño de Cebu, the oldest religious icon in the Philippines, gift of Ferdinand Magellan to the first Filipino Catholics that same year. Indeed 2021 will be a year of great jubilee for the Church in the Philippines.
