Let the Crisis be Occasions for Generosity

This was how Bishop Broderick Pabillo exhorted the lay faithful to share their time and efforts to voluntarily help those in need in order to alleviate those who suffer because of the crisis. This was at the heart of Bp. Pabillos' homily last June 28, 2020.

The prelate, who currently stands as the Apostolic Administrator of Manila, described the contemporary time as changing because of fear of the threat of the coronavirus, affecting how people and communities interact because of the imposed health protocols since the quarantine period.

We are known to be a hospitable people.

He noted the difficulties experienced by the faithful because of poverty and unemployment and went on to appeal to the faithful to remain sensitive to the needs of others. This calls for them to be selfless, and it is not easy during these times when everybody is affected.

The bishop encouraged the communities to emulate the faithfulness of the Blessed Mother by being constant to the will of God.
