Mental Health Seminar for Youth

The Ministry on Health Care, the Order of Malta Philippines, and the Archdiocesan Commission on Youth (ACY) will hold a Mental Health Seminar for the youth on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the fourth floor of Arzobispado de Manila from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.


The seminar is part of the preparatory activities for the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the World Day of the Sick on February 11, 2017, which is the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.


With the theme, “It’s Ok…I Got Your Back”, the seminar aims to involve young people in from different parishes to understand and care for their peers with mental health problems, in especially for those particular with suicidal tendencies.


Speaking at the seminar are:  Dr. Ma. Rosanna de Guzman, Consultant and Psychiatrist at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral medicine, PGH (Youth and Mental Health), Ms. Carmen Sunico-Quesada, Guidance Counsellor at the UST College of Medicine(Case Study on How to Care for Youth), and Fr. James Gascon, Center for Family Ministry (Suicide Protocol: Risk Assessment and Intervention).


This free seminar is on a first come first serve basis.
