Radio Veritas846 Holds 17th Marian Healing Exhibit

“Mary is the mother. And a mother’s main concern is the health of her children … Our Lady guards our health … helps us grow, face life and be free.” (Pope Francis, St. Mary Major Visit)

The history of Marian art testifies to the enduring truth of this prophecy. Such art also provides the ardent student of Christian culture with ample resources for faithful reflection of a philosophical nature, as well as for delving more deeply, by means of prayerful meditation, into the mystery of the Trinity, the central mystery of the Catholic faith. This Christian art emphasizes the illustration, supplementation and portrayal in tangible form the principles of Christianity. Traditionally, devotees visit images of saints and the Holy Mother for healing and prayer, and this practice remains strong today.

The Catholic faithful seeking healing and other petitions are invited to visit and take part in the 17th Marian exhibit of the Church-run Radio Veritas that will be held at Shangri-La Plaza Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City from August 15 to September 13, 2019. A formal opening and blessing of the exhibit will be held on August 15, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. to be presided by Radio Veritas846 Vice President, Rev. Fr. Roy Bellen with the attendance of Shangri-La Plaza Corporation Executive President and General Manager Danila Regina Fojas.

As Radio Veritas continuously propagates the devotion to Our Blessed Mother, the station will hold the “Mary and the Saints in the Year of the Youth” exhibit that will feature canonically crowned and popular venerated images of Mary from various parts of the country including Our Lady of Manaoag and Our Lady of Fatima, as well as images of the Saints with devotion to and writings of healing such as St. Padre Pio and many others.

Radio Veritas President Rev. Fr. Anton C.T. Pascual stated “We encourage the Catholic faithful to visit and support the Marian exhibit and foster devotion to Mary Blessed Virgin, Mother of God and Mother of Church, because she is the path towards salvation and peace.”

The Catholic Bishop’s Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has set 2019 as the year of the Youth as part of the nine-year preparation period for the celebration of the 500th Anniversary of the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines in 2021. Since 2013, the CBCP called us to focus on each of the Nine Pastoral Priorities of the Church in the Philippines for the New Evangelization.
