Prayer Spaces is the newest addition to this year’s PCNE. It is composed of various activities that participants can join all throughout the three days.

According to PCNE, they will be having a Labyrinth and Prayer Walls. These prayer spaces will be placed around the Quadricentennial Pavilion of the University of Santo Tomas.

A Prayer Wall is where participants can post their written prayers to the Lord. This practice of placing slips of paper containing written prayers to God is similar to the Wailing Wall or the Western Wall, a Jewish holy site in the Old City of Jerusalem and the prayer wall in the house of the Virgin Mary in Ephesus, Turkey.

A Labyrinth is where participants will enter in a maze-like journey where they are given the opportunity to concentrate or meditate in silence or in prayer.

Other activities leading to prayer include counseling and confession.

PCNE 6 will start on July 19-21, 2019, with the theme “Filipino Youth Walking with Jesus”. It is in line with the celebration of the Year of the Youth as declared by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). It is also part of the preparation for the 500 Years of Christianity in the country.
