Caritas Manila's Back to School Telethon raises funds for YSLEP scholars


Caritas Manila, the social service arm of the Archdiocese of Manila has launched its Back to School Telethon last Monday, July 1, 2019, from 6 am to 6 pm with the theme "Feeding of 5,000 Sponsorship Campaign".

According to Caritas Manila, the telethon has gathered P6,505, 387.13 as of 6:01 p.m. of July 3, 2019.

The proceeds of the telethon will be used to support the scholars under Caritas Manila's Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program (YSLEP).

"The sponsorship campaign is aligned to support our flagship program Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program (YSLEP), envision to invest further in a long-term solutions to eradicate poverty and in nation building through educating our Filipino youth,” message of Caritas Manila.

This year, Caritas Manila's YSLEP was able to produce 1,000 scholars who graduated from college including 6 magna cum laude; 41 cum laude; and academic achievers from the 51 dioceses all over the country. (Jheng M. Prado/RCAM-AOC)
