Cardinal Tagle tells young people to live in truth

“Mga kabataan, mabuhay kayo sa katotohanan. Ang pag-ibig nakabatay sa katotohanan.”

This was the message of Manila Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle during his homily for the Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion on Good Friday, April 19, at the Manila Cathedral.

Cardinal Tagle expressed his disappointment that even in social media many people try to hide their true identity instead of facing reality.

The Archbishop of Manila shared that he discovered there are 4 Facebook accounts under his name that he did not create.

He also said that he was also a victim of fake news stating that he died.

At mapayapa ko raw na hinarap ang huling sandali,” Cardinal Tagle said according to the news.

As the Catholic Church celebrates the Year of the Youth, Cardinal Tagle challenged the young to be brave like Christ who is always willing to suffer because of his great love for mankind.

Stressing that even in silence, the truth will always prevail, Cardinal Tagle at the end of his homily asked the young people to refrain from bullying.
