WACOM4 a time for healing and hope

The 4th World Apostolic on Congress on Mercy to be held in the country is a time for healing and hope said Bishop Ruperto Santos of the Diocese of Balanga, Bataan in a press conference held at Arzobispado de Manila on January 3, 2017.

“We believe that this WACOM to be held in the Philippines will be a healing process for us and it will be for us an opening that there is still hope for those whom we consider the least, the lost, and the last,” said Bishop Ruperto Santos.

WACOM4 which will be held on January 16-20, 2017 is an international gathering of Divine Mercy devotees and promoters happens every three years: 2008 (Rome, Italy); 2011 (Krakow, Poland); and 2014 (Bogota, Columbia).

The event will be participated by some 4,000 local and international delegates according to Father Prospero Tenorio, secretary-general of WACOM Asia.

With the theme “Communion in Mercy, Mission for Mercy,” WACOM4 is presented as a pilgrimage of mercy bringing the delegates to four different places namely: Archdiocese of Manila (Manila Cathedral and University of Santo Tomas); Archdiocese of Lipa, Batangas (National Shrine of Padre Pio); Diocese of Malolos, Bulacan (The Parish and national Shrine of Divine Mercy); and Diocese of Balanga, Bataan (Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar).
