TO: ALL PRIESTS CONCERNED IN THE ARCHDIOCESE OF MANILA
RE: RENEWAL OF GOVERNMENT LICENSE TO SOLEMNIZE MARRIAGES
Dear Monsignor/Father:
Greetings of peace in the Lord!
This is to remind Your Reverence that your authorization to solemnize marriages granted by the government is due to expire on December 31, 2008. As in the past, the Chancery is willing to assist you in the application of your authorization renewal.
The better facilitate your application, may we request Your Reverence to accomplish attached application forms except question number 7 (in triplicate) and return to the Chancery duly notarized together with the following:
- Three (3) pcs. 2” X 2’’ I.D. colored photos in white background (taken not more than a month ago from the date of application and should not be computer generated), no eyeglasses and with signature at the back.
- Copy of appointment letter or certificate of appointment.
- Certificate of Ordination
- Certified true Copy of Certificate of Live Birth issued by the National Statistics Office or Local Civil Registrar (for Filipino Citizens only).
For priests who are not Filipino citizens, kindly send us also, aside from the above-mentioned requirements:
- Copy of passport (pages with picture, expiry date of passport and expiration date of missionary visa).
- Copy of I-card (back to back) issued by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation.
For Guests priests, kindly secure an endorsement letter from Rev. Msgr. Lucio B. Odiver, Episcopal Vicar for Manila Guests Priests, in addition to above-mentioned requirements.
Please do not also forget to enclose the amount of Five Hundred Forty Five Pesos (545.00) in payment for:

We have set the deadline for submission of documents and fees on October 24, 2008. Please complete all the requirements before forwarding them to the Chancery to avoid delays.
